A Truth

When we make a promise, it usually lasts for as long as it is convenient for us to keep it.
When God makes a promise, it is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
God promised that whatever we ask in faith believing it would be so it would be so.
The fervent prayer of a righteous man would avails much.
Thank God for answered prayer by praying for His will to be done.

Who wins? Who looses?

The Democrats are mad cause they can't raise taxes.
The Republicans are mad cause they can't make them permanent.
The president says they all should be happy cause its as good a deal as we can get.
So who wins the pundents ask? I don't know and I don't care because I know who loses. All those who voted these bum's out (or tried to) as it is business as usual. Only in Washington could a bill to not raise taxes be made by spending billions more of our tax money without paying for it in spending cuts.
Who loses, we the people and especially our children who are losing their country and their freedom as well as inheriting this enormous tax bill. I am sure Washington will figure out a way to tax these taxes so they can spend some more. If things don't change in January I am wondering why we pay taxes at all? I feel like a serf under robber barons.

Reflections

I heard today about a high school principle who got a few parents (probably far left progressives) angry, because he was enforcing a regulation approved by the school board that said repeated failure to turn off cell phones during class periods would result in the loss of cell phone use. When asked about it he answered, "What good are rules and regulation if you don't enforce them. No one learns from that!" Are you listening Mr. President and congress? Enforcing laws such as immigration teaches law breakers it is wrong. Failure to enforce them teaches them our laws mean nothing so why obey them!

Reflections

I find as I get older that my patience grows younger. Why do I say younger? Our grandchild was here over Thanksgiving and though she is a wonderful, well adjusted child with parents that do a wonderful job rearing her, patience is not one of her virtues (I believe this can be said of most younger people). I used to believe patience came with age and knowledge but as I age I see the folly of this belief and think I have come to understand what leads to impatience or the lack of patience, it is stupidity! Not stupidity on the part of the person lacking patience but stupidity on the part of others. Let me give a perfect example, the stupidity in Washington DC causes me to loose my patience on a daily basis!!!
