The president knows whats better for us than we do.
Congress knows whats better for us than we do.
The media knows whats better for us than we do.
They point to the success of the bailouts, 10.75% unemployment.
They point to the success of Cash for Clunkers, our tax money to help people have better cars.
Now they want to force us to government health care to improve competition, what a joke.
Pray for our children and grand children, they will not have the opportunities we have had.
Someone tell me how to prepare for the shock to come when the results of all they have done and are doing reach their destination which is clearly hard times. Should I tell my grandchild to quite complaining and thank Obama and the far left for saving our planet and just pay her taxes!
After all that has become the American Way.

I may have mentioned a few times before that I am a veteran of the war in Vietnam. A war that I and many feel we could have won within the first two years of its inception if as a nation we were committed to the fight.
War is an ugly word and the truth is it's a terrible thing to be involved in. Just as true is the fact that since the beginning of conflict the victory has gone to those most committed to its cause.
In Nam the Recon Unit at Phu Bi where my squadron was based had a motto, "Yea tho I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil, cause I am the meanest *&$@#** in the valley."
Wars are not won by the management of presidents and the interference of legislators. Their only job once committed to the fight is to see that the commanders and troops in the field have what they need to defeat their chosen enemy.
Mr. President most of the lives lost in Nam were because we fought a dedicated enemy that was not restricted by their government placing rules of engagement on them. They believed they were right and fought bravely with no restraints. I never heard of them asking permission to return fire or pass up an opportunity to inflict injury on their enemy.
The brightest and bravest of this generation are now in a conflict worth winning. Mr. President and Congress either give them what they need and get out of their way or get them out of harms way. Politicians do not win wars they only get us into them and by continuing to manage from the rear inhibit victory and cause the increased loss of life.
Washington either put up and shut up or get our young men and women out of harms way!

Are You Paying Attention?

Are you paying attention?
Probably not if you are only reading the newspapers or watching the major networks. ACORN, we should question our governments connections here and especially our presidents involvement. I wonder if we will ever see the truth in our transparent government?

I must confess I did not watch the president's health care sales speech last night. I have heard enough. I am tired of all the spin and lies on both sides. The bare truth is under cover of this so called debate over a non existent health crisis big government and the national debt are the real problem. While we watch this carnival show play out government is growing and still spending money we don't have.
Just my opinion.

Wisdom of Our Founding Fathers

One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice to all.
Ever wonder why we install elected officials with and oath instead of a coronation?
Our founding fathers saw the wisdom of placing ones hand on the Bible and swearing an oath to the Constitution and the people of the land of the free. An oath to God is a promise that if broken endangers not only the people represented but the immortal soul of the one betraying a Holy God.
In a coronation power to rule is given absolutely to the coronated one. No allegiance to the laws or the people but power given to the wisdom of the coronated Our fathers understood that even though a benevolent one might be coronated that this type of power corrupts even the most benevolent of men who answer to no one but themselves.
That is why the the wisdom of our fathers placed the power in the people and not the elected.
This precept has been corroded through the years by those who have taken this oath as merely a formality. Once in office they have betrayed the promise and hope of the Constitution and the people who have elected them. They have ceased to be patriots and become politicians.
I would say to all who have held office for over two terms examine your hearts and the sacred oath you have taken before it is too late for your sake and the nation. Politics is the problem in America not the answer. We need men of reason and common sense in elected office not professional politicians.

It's Common Sense --- Stupid

What would happen if I looked at my family budget like the Federal Government looks at theirs.
The common sense fact is my budget is limited to what I have and will see come to me over the period of my budget.
I want the best health coverage available. My budget says that I can't afford it. So I don't get it. If I did what would I do about the bill when it comes due?
In fact there are times when life requires that I cut some of my budget expenses because things outside my control cause unforeseen expenses (loss of income,
inflation, sickness). Common sense tells me I cannot go deeper in debt to cope with these circumstances, I must do what I have to do to stay solvent. I can't borrow my way out of debt it doesn't work that way I am only going deeper into debt.
Common sense says, "My budget is not the end but a tool which should be managed carefully in order to get by and hopefully get ahead."
Why can't our president's and congress see this? It is not what you want that shapes your destiny it is what you do with what you have. Use a little common sense and you won't look so stupid! God is in control of our environment and I learned a long time ago He only requires me to be a good steward not do His job, that is to deny Him and that leads to failure.
America, it is time to trust in God and the American people as our constitution requires. Mr. President and Congress get your own house in order and quite interfering in what you have no business doing when the simple truth is we can't afford what you have already done for us.

Catcher In The Rye vs Spiderman

Unbelievable. Instead of requiring students to read and report on the classics so called educators are letting students read and report on whatever they want to. They say that books such as Catcher In The Rye are not interesting to youth today and it leads to poor participation and poor reading skills, that by allowing them to read what they choose they actually read and eagerly report on these subjects. Wow!
Kind of sounds like the inmates are running the asylum. The problem is they cannot fail those who do not achieve and it is one of the major problems wrong with our society and government today.
It leaves out the fact that to achieve in the real world you have to eagerly attack tasks that are not fun and that you need to be held accountable for the completion of these tasks.
Our children need to learn some tasks are difficult and must be completed in order to be successful. This is called responsiblity and leads to accountablility.
