A Truth

When we make a promise, it usually lasts for as long as it is convenient for us to keep it.
When God makes a promise, it is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
God promised that whatever we ask in faith believing it would be so it would be so.
The fervent prayer of a righteous man would avails much.
Thank God for answered prayer by praying for His will to be done.

Who wins? Who looses?

The Democrats are mad cause they can't raise taxes.
The Republicans are mad cause they can't make them permanent.
The president says they all should be happy cause its as good a deal as we can get.
So who wins the pundents ask? I don't know and I don't care because I know who loses. All those who voted these bum's out (or tried to) as it is business as usual. Only in Washington could a bill to not raise taxes be made by spending billions more of our tax money without paying for it in spending cuts.
Who loses, we the people and especially our children who are losing their country and their freedom as well as inheriting this enormous tax bill. I am sure Washington will figure out a way to tax these taxes so they can spend some more. If things don't change in January I am wondering why we pay taxes at all? I feel like a serf under robber barons.

Reflections

I heard today about a high school principle who got a few parents (probably far left progressives) angry, because he was enforcing a regulation approved by the school board that said repeated failure to turn off cell phones during class periods would result in the loss of cell phone use. When asked about it he answered, "What good are rules and regulation if you don't enforce them. No one learns from that!" Are you listening Mr. President and congress? Enforcing laws such as immigration teaches law breakers it is wrong. Failure to enforce them teaches them our laws mean nothing so why obey them!

Reflections

I find as I get older that my patience grows younger. Why do I say younger? Our grandchild was here over Thanksgiving and though she is a wonderful, well adjusted child with parents that do a wonderful job rearing her, patience is not one of her virtues (I believe this can be said of most younger people). I used to believe patience came with age and knowledge but as I age I see the folly of this belief and think I have come to understand what leads to impatience or the lack of patience, it is stupidity! Not stupidity on the part of the person lacking patience but stupidity on the part of others. Let me give a perfect example, the stupidity in Washington DC causes me to loose my patience on a daily basis!!!

Playoff Needed

This weekends games and the new BCS Ratings show the hypocrisy of the Bowl Championship Series and the money greed that drives it. What did Auburn do to deserve to vault over Oregon (whose last loss came in the first game of last year to Boise State I believe). Does anyone with a lick of sense think fore mentioned Boise State should drop from #3 to #11 after loosing to #19 Nevada who only rose to #17 beating Boise State? Go figure, and does anyone really think LSU, Arkansas, Ohio State, or Stanford could beat Boise State much less Nevada? Guess as long as money talks we will never find out. I for one will not be watching any BCS Bowl game until they figure out how to put competition back into it and take money out of it.

Two Things I Don't Get

One; the White House announced they are pulling the just assigned guardsmen off the border by February. Is it because the borders are now secure or is it because the elections are over?
Second; how come we are taking nude photos of our people or groping our citizens in search of hazardous materials by TSA agents (the fastest growing and becoming the most expensive beaucracy in Washington) when anyone with a lick of common sense knows we should be looking out for terrorists not hazardous materials.

GM Stocks

If you are thinking about investing in the newly released GM (Government Motors) stock, I want to offer you a better deal on some ocean front property in Arizona. Why buy something you already paid for with your tax money? Why invest in a company that has not learned from its mistakes (it is still union leveraged to the point it will fail again when taken off the government tit)? If you still aren't convinced it is a new scam you might ask someone who owned GM Stock prior to the bailout what they got and how the government looked out for them as they were asked to subsidise the whole mess with their tax money. They will tell you they lost their entire investment. It is almost like the like of Barney Frank were running it, oops they are!

While our country stands on the brink of economic disaster, the Fed Bank goes forward with monetizing our debt, which will surely lead to loss of dollar value and continued inflation. Our president is out spending millions on a world tour for the United Nations and a one world order under the guise of promoting jobs at home. In the senate they argue about what the last election really was all about.
I have only one thing to say to all you guys, "My granddaughters' future is more important to me than all your political careers. You can run but you cannot hide from what America and Americans are all about, it may take one or two more election cycles but you will get the message!"
God save our Republic.

Why would anyone watch Comedy Central. The "talking heads" are so much funnier. I have come to a conclusion, if you are a political pundit you are either a "kool-ade drinker" or a "kool-ade salesman". Either way God save us from Washington.

After two days of watching the president opine on the elections I am amazed. For two years he has believed it was about him and what he wanted. The election truly showed how it was truly a rejection of him and what he wanted. Now that it is finally about him he thinks it is about something else. I think he still doesn't get it or he does and just doesn't care what what the constitution and a republic are about.

Americans gunned down on Mexican border. I just heard on the news authorities are trying to figure out if these victims were targeted or random killings. Where do we get these "authorities"?
We need some adult, common sense leadership in this country before it is too late. Oops, was that a wetback, a Muslim terrorist or a drug dealer that just crossed over?

National security.
A sensible thing to do;
Germany has banned all flights (cargo and passenger) from entering their country from Yemen until there is no terrorist threat from there.
A stupid thing to do;
The U.S. is sending some trainers and a bunch of money to train them on how to inspect their shipments.
Are you kidding me what do we import from Yemen other than terrorists and bombs?

Please don't tell me you are doing all you can to insure the national security from terrorists. Do the American people look stupid to you people at Home Land Security? When I was in the Marine Corps the first thing we would do to insure safety was secure the perimeter. So until you secure our perimeter don't try to satisfy me with your spin, I'm tired of everything being someone elses fault. So do your job and secure our borders and by the way you might show a little bit of national ire for the death of American's on the border instead of warning American's it isn't safe to be there. Ooops was that a peon seeking work, a drug dealer or a Muslem Jehadist who just crossed over?

Please don't forget to vote in this most important election of my lifetime. We voted early as we already made our choices based on voting records and what we could learn of the candidates. With any luck the ranks of the unemployed will grow by some of those who are a cause for the unemployment problems.
What am I looking for in a representative to government, be it state or national, it is very simple. Take the oath to support and defend the constitution not suborn and deface the constitution and accept responsibility not place blame. Ever wonder where we would be today if the current bunch were the ones who had to make the choices when our nation was founded?
God give us patriots and save us from our greed.

"knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts.
Never the less we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore beloved looking forward to these things, be delighted to be found in Him in peace without spot and blameless."

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good. Traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, lead away by various lusts always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Bear says, "I was reminded today by someone I love it is important for us to be sure what we do expresses our faith. If your faith is based in the One True God and the redeeming grace shown in His example on the cross and led by His Spirit which dwells in the true believer one can overcome the forces of evil. Note I said overcome evil true faith does not eliminate evil but makes us aware of its presence. One of the best examples in simple terms is found in the old Tom and Jerry cartoons. When Tom or Jerry would face a choice a little angel Tom or Jerry would encourage right in one ear while a little devil Tom or Jerry would encourage wrong in the other. Simplistic yes but as true today as it was on the Cross the world in black and white, good and evil there is no gray area.
Our angel is found in God's Word and Spirit, our devil is found in men and their worldly knowledge. I say listen to His Word and live by faith in Him and let no man, government or worldly religion temp you from His Word."
