The president spoke today about our future and the economy. How can anyone be as stupid as he appears to be? I don't think he can be that stupid and be where he is. That leaves me two choices; either he is up to something or half the people in America are a dumb as he seems to be about things.

Friday Quote

I must confess that I am driven to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I have nowhere else to go. My wisdom and that of all about me is insufficient to meet the demands of the day.
Lincoln
A good quote but maybe if he had relied more on the Constitution than wisdom he could have done better.

He looks so regal and so honest to what he is, maybe that is why I like to observe birds so much. We have some birds in Washington DC and state capitals who seem to have forgotten who they are. These birds have for too long seen themselves as something more than they are and forgotten the ones and principles they were elected to uphold.
It is refreshing to see some wake up to the situation we are in and try to do something. But it is easy to see why we have arrived where we are when we see the organizations and people who oppose what is right. Where have truth, honor, responsibility and faith gone in America? Wake up people God does not choose sides, He gave that RIGHT to His creation. For too long now America has chosen not to be on His side but rather to listen to godless men and their ideas of what is fair and equal. Pray for a National Awakening and return to our roots all founded on a firm foundation anchored in His Word --- pray God would once more shine His face on America.

Last year we had this family of barn swallows build a nest and raise a family on our front porch pillar. It was fun to watch them build the nest, lay the eggs and see four birds grow up in that little nest. As they grew and finally left the nest it was a treat to watch their first attempt at flight --- it usually only lasted a few feet to gutters on the house.
Lord the mess they left after. It took thirty minutes with the pressure washer to clean it all up. It was fun but I don't think it will happen again on my front porch. Kind of like the Obama mess ----- once is enough!!!

Butterflies, a gift from God. Unionization of state and federal employees a gift from democrats. One a gift from God to his people and therefore it is our right to enjoy them. The other a gift from man and like all things that man does it can be good or bad. If what man does for us can be an individual choice it is good, if what man does is mandated it is evil. God gives men rights man can only respect those rights or choose to establish his own.

It is the little things in life that mean the most. Chocolate cake, spizghetti, or a jug of juice. These are the things that make for memories that last a lifetime.
God protect and keep our children's future and help us to remember their future is in our hands.

As the snow fell yesterday, here at our place there was 5 to 10 inches, depending on where you took your sounding, the birds just kept coming. A constant group of various species all seeking to eat, stay busy and keep warm. At some times between 40 and 50 birds competing for a spot at the feeders.
Fun to watch on a shut in day, a source of joy and amusement for my wife and I and a constant source of annoyance for our cats as they crouched at the sun-room windows; ears laid back and tails twitching as the birds busied themselves with no notice of their presence.

A beautiful Indigo Bunting perched atop a newly planted Leland Cypress speaks of God's truth and promise - there will always be a new beginning and a fresh start. He says to me, "Son if I replenish the earth and keep watch over My Creation, how much more will I watch after you who have believed?"
Washington know this that man and his governments have no control over the future or God's creation. Instead of trying to do His job you would better serve man and creation by making sure you are in His Will with your decisions. Because no matter how smart we think we are, nor how far we think we have come we must not forget that just like the Indigo Bunting and the Leland Cypress we are created --- His Will in the end will be done.

Congratulations to the Green Bay Packers, 2011 Super Bowl champs! It was nice to see a bunch of clean cut guys wind up on top, give the credit to each other and not "look at me! look at me!"
Were you watching Mr. Johnson and the Cowboys. Return to the days of Tom Landry and get your fan base back.

Cynical

I hate the fact that I am becoming cynical about everything that happens. Yesterday as I viewed the lawlessness in Egypt and listened to the so called experts talk about the freedom fighters in the streets of Cairo (what a joke! Freedom fighters do not loot and kill each other - a lawless mob does. As I saw the charge of the horses and camels I expected to see Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif come riding in firing their weapons --- I mean it is so staged!!) These people have been controlled for 30 years and are being controlled even now...by their government, by religious factions and by the United States Government. If they were freedom fighters they would know what they want and would not need leaders from outside to lead them.
I hate being such a cynic, but what our government has become is causing us to rot from within and our love of stuff (we gotta have our stuff and more of it) we no longer have the fire of freedom burning in our souls and are ruled (yes ruled not led) by a government that will not let any opportunity or crisis go by without using it as a way to profit. God help me, I am a cynic and don't trust anyone with an agenda. God help me but more fervently I pray help Thy People prepare for the trials to come.
