A Truth

I remember in my second or third year of high school (when you are 69 it is hard to pin and exact date to a memory) Ms. Haley my English teacher was having trouble keeping order in the class. She decided it was because we sat next to people we liked to pay attention to more than class work. Her idea was to rearrange the way we sat in class breaking up our little areas of interest. The result was less order as it was more difficult to communicate and therefore harder to pay attention to class work. She finally came to the conclusion that extra assignments and detention were her best option --- it sure got my attention.
To those of you who think shuffling the seating for the State of the Union Address (which is just another opportunity for more political posturing by a failing administration) you deserve what you have voted for. Quit voting with your heart, your party or what someone says and start paying attention to what they do instead of what they say, vote for mature adults who do what they say in stead of political posturing. The best thing this president could say tonight for the good of the country is, "I resign!"
