A Good Bail Out Plan

Here is a bail out plan the president should take to heart. It is not my idea but one my wife received in a email from a friend. I think it far better and would reach more people and do more good than anything done so far.
There are around 50million people in the U.S. over 50 years of age. Each one should be offered the option of retiring and receiving a million dollars from the Federal Government.
This would immediately create 50 million jobs. Thus eliminating the unemployment problem
Each should be required to buy an American made automobile. Thus eliminating the crises in the auto industry.
Each should be required to either buy a house or pay off their existing mortgage. Thus eliminating the housing crisis.
How about it Mr. President lets use a little common sense and get more for less.

Wow!

I knew there was a reason I no longer watch beauty pageants.
When my daughter was in local pageants growing up it seems she always lost to someone whose parents were a little more prominent in the community and after the first time when her voice made here by far the most talented they did away with the talent portion of the pageant.
Now it seems you have to be politically correct to fit the bias. Give me a break aren't there more important things to worry about than the fact that what caused the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is becoming the law of our land.
All I know is that pictured above is my selection for Miss World, she holds my heart and I worry about the future we are leaving her.

Did you save my chocolate

My daughter reminded me this morning of how important family is. We live about eight hours apart and the phone and our blogs help us stay in touch.
I was talking to my granddaughter, who is five, last week and she was saving me a piece of chocolate from her Easter Egg hunt as they are coming to spend a week with us the first of May.
While on the phone with her last night I asked if she still had my chocolate she was saving. After a Short pause her reply was, "I forgot and I ate it but I will get you more." Me, "You promised you would save it for me." Violet, "I'm sorrrrry, I will get you some more." Me, "You will forget and eat it too." Violet, "No I won't. You are silly Grandpa."
What keeps me going for a week is ending our calls when I say, "I love you Violet." Her reply is the sweetest thing that keeps me going till the next call, "I love you too Grandpa." The sweetest words under God's Heaven.

He Wasen't Impressed

I will bet my next retirement check that they wish they could have been here instead of standing in front of the White House in the freezing rain in thirty degree temperatures. Yet in these conditions hundreds gathered to send a message they were fed up with excessive bailouts of irresponsible businesses, a Federal budget that will lead to expanded government that will further reduce individual and states rights and a growing deficit that will be passed on to our children and their children.

These "Tea Parties" took place all across our nation, in every state, in varying numbers from hundred to thousands. Our leader looked out the window from his 78 degree office and said,
"He was not impressed." Then made a speech that said the excess was working but would take time and more of our future would be needed for his plan to work. How out of touch can one man be? I guess its not that hard to understand when you listen to those who share a like misunderstanding and listen to a biased media exalt your praises.

I just wonder daily how they can expect to save a debt problem with more debt. Mr. Obama think about this, my father's generation had far less than I do, and what I have I earned with over fifty years of hard work. For leaving my generation a nation of free people under God to pursue whatever their sweat will allow them to gain. For this they are known as the "Greatest Generation."

We protested because we see nothing in our generation but a will to have. Greed in business, greed in Washington and a desire for more and more without concern for the price to be paid,
an attitude of "I want it now as it is owed to me." Mr. President and men and women of congress we do not need government to provide for us we need you to insure the opportunity to have the Judao Christian work ethic that this country was founded on. One nation, under God, with freedom to go as far as our abilities will carry us. One nation under God. That is our heritage and we need to leave to our children and their children the same opportunity. My prayer is that God will forgive our greed and restore our faith in Him and His given "rights" given to us by our forefathers in the Constitution, a Republic not a Nanny State.

I think that is what the Tax Day Tea Parties were about Mr. President and they will not stop with what went unheeded yesterday but will grow till election day when we the people will have our say. Mr. President and congress we will return to a government by the free, for the free that listens to the free. Maybe you weren't impressed yesterday but you will be in November next year.

I was very impressed yesterday and will continue to actively resist through peaceful opposition to the rule of law and the constitution in hope that my daughter and grand daughter will not think of me as part of what is happening now but as one who stood up for their chance to have what I was handed and am watching slowly slip away by greed and ideology that is foreign to that which made this the greatest nation on earth. I will no longer say "God Bless the USA but God return and Bless the USA".

Pirates

As anyone who knows us is aware we love to spend our vacations on the open seas. For one I am very concerned with how open our seas are remaining.
I give Kudos to the Navy and it's Seals for the resolution on the Alabama affair. But before we beat our breasts to hard and pat ourselves on the back too much we need to remember we have not even scratched the surface of the problem.
There are hundreds of people still held for ransoms (that will probably be paid) and just this morning the news is reporting the piracy of four vessels. It seems to me the emphasis is once again money and not the rights of innocent human beings. Thomas Jefferson understood that freedom of the seas was a God given right and correctly stated, "Not one cent for tribute but thousands for defense!" That's a paraphrase as best I remember from my history lessons.
History by the way is something that has been tainted by political correctness.
It is pat time for the words from the Marine Corps Hymn "to the shores of Tripoli" become the battle cry of our elected officials. The world trembled at the Barbary Pirates and paid their tribute but a marine lieutenant and his detachment brought justice to the Barbary Coast. We have lost our direction and while we wait for consensus of the world a few brave and determined patriots stand ready to end the situation. Alas I feel we have lost our will to face wrong with might and instead seek to do what man feels is right. Then that's just my opinion.

Easter

I saw on the news the other day that THEY say, "Christianity is dead in America." This I know....because the Bible tells me so:

In the beginning was the Word:
the Word was with God
and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him all things came to be,
not one thing had its beginning except through Him.
All that came to be had life in him
and that life was the light of men,
A light that shines in the dark,
a light that darkness could not overpower.

THEY nailed that Light to a tree.
THEY thought that Light was dead.
Easter shows that THEY were wrong then and I believe THEY are wrong now.
If there is to be peace on earth and joy to men it will not come from THEY but can be found in the events of Good Friday and the truth of Easter Sunday.

May America return to God and may God bless America is my prayer for this Easter and to all the peace and joy that is Christ Jesus our Lord.

Flowers

Flowers. They calm the senses. They soothe the soul. They are a beautiful peace offering when a wrong is done. Their scent lifts ones spirits no matter how deep the darkness. I believe they are God's gift of hope and renewal, for no matter how long and harsh the winter season they prove the power of God's restoring power.

How perfect is each ones formation. In a time and age when man has determined that he is the hope of saving the world from itself and man's foolishness........I think what we need is more flowers. Some would say I am the 182 pound monkey in the room and a dreamer. To them I would say, "Spend a few moments with the first rose you see this spring, savor its being and essence, then deny what I say." But that's just me.

I Think Spring Is Coming

Yesterday my wife reported that she saw my beloved Bocephus sitting on the pole where we normally hang our feeders. Since I have been bothered the last few days by my herniated discs I was slow in coming to see, by the time I arrived he had departed.
Knowing that my wife would not lie about such a thing I busied myself getting the feeders out. Within an hour I had two fresh feeders hanging in the sun and the watch is on. I have not seen them yet but know it is only a matter of time til once again they are battling for territorial rights.
The weatherman has predicted 29degrees for a low tonight, that can't be good for them. Over the weekend we saw on golden finch, usually by now many would have passed through.
My wife says its the weather, but I think they are watching television somewhere. They have heard our president talk about our evils as a country and chum up with the Europeans. I fear they are believing him and continuing Northeast to cross the Atlantic and enjoy the rosy pictured there. It will certainly not be good for them to do so as the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence (or in this case another ocean).

What's that smell?

Spring has sprung.
I see dogwoods bloom, especially the little one so tenderly cared for in our yard.
I see the flowers begin to bloom.
I see the grass begin to come out of hibernation and turn to green.
The birds are singing a happy song.
I await the short visit of the finches as they pass through and can hardly stand the anticipation of the arrival of my friend Bocifus and the other hummingbirds.
But wait, whats that awful smell? The wind is from the east again and brings the stench from the Potomac and the rot that swelters there as it squanders the future of our children and grandchildren. Oh how I wish they could see how their need for self gratification is ruining any form of responsibility and ambition in those who have been, like lost sheep, led to believe and trust in them.
We need a spring of education as to where we came from and who we are, that will wash away the indoctrination to humanism that has invaded our education system.
We need a spring of integrity and return to self responsibility for our actions, to enjoy the fruits of our success and endure the cost of our own failures.
We need an old fashioned spring revival that will renew our faith in God, our trust in our fellow Americans, and a love for the truth our nation was founded on, that freedom is a gift from GOD
endowed on all men as a sacred responsibility, to be cherished, protected, fought for, and yes even to die for. It doesn't come from the minds of great thinkers, nor scientists, nor politicians.
They have there purpose, though many have been deluded as to who we are.
Yes Spring reminds me of who we are. As the world renews itself without the help of man and his meager understanding, there is a Creator. He is still in charge and will purge His creation of all that is hazardous to His predetermined plan. We must assure we stand in His grace and not in His way.
